A Snowy Day

This snow has been so crazy.  We just got another 3 inches this weekend, but the snow isn't stopping me from taking some great outfit pictures for the blog!  I have teamed up with Pockets and Lace Boutique yet again to bring you another fun winter outfit!

shirt/bracelet/jeans/boots (C/O in this color, but many other choices!)

This shirt is another one of my favorites from Pockets and Lace Boutique!  It is such great quality and has such a nice pop of color to it as well!

You can still get 25% off your purchase at Pockets and Lace Boutique with the code PREP2014!

What did you do this snowy weekend?

My Friends

Let me just start this post out by saying I love my friends.  If you have been on Instagram lately, I'm sure you have seen the pictures and snarky comments from Cohen and Seth (they always tend to make my day!); which also means you saw that they wanted me to post about them.  Thus I am posting about my friends today!

I actually met my really close group of friends this year, as we all were in our school's fall play.  It is basically history from there!  We are all best friends, and, as you can tell, extremely close.  Here are a few pictures I have collected of my friends over the past couple of months :)

I absolutely love my friends, even though they forced me to write this post haha ;)

What are your friends like?

Too Tech Savvy?

With the recent boom in technology, I am noticing kids being more tech savvy at a younger age.  I think technology is great, but the question I always ask myself is are we too tech savvy?

When I was a child I used to play imaginary games, hide and seek with friends, bake in the kitchen, and my list goes on and on.  Not to say kids don't do this anymore, but I think there is a big majority that choose not to because of technology.  Instead, they can play video games, text friends, watch videos; all at the touch of a finger.  Now, I'm not meaning to judge the kids, since I know how I feel when adults don't understand what our lives our like; however I think there is a big connection between technology and the change in our lifestyle.

I recently went on an outing to help with bullying problems at the elementary school in my area and I noticed almost every one of the students I worked with had an iPhone or some sort of technology.  The worst part was that they told me that most of the bullying they see takes place online (gossiping, rumors, etc.) and I couldn't help but wonder, is this due to the technology boom of the 21st century? And, how do we stop this from happening?

I'm not an advocate for taking away all and any means of technology because, I admit, it is a huge part of our lives.  Instead we should try and limit ourselves more.  We should try to take time away from the computer, TV, Iphone, and read a good book or go out to eat with friends instead.

I am personally guilty of spending way too much time on the internet and way too much time on my iPhone.  So much so that I feel bare without them.  Recently, however, I have begun to read more and I have noticed a real difference in my lifestyle.  I have realized I can put down the computer and iPhone and really enjoy being with my friends, enjoy reading a good book, and enjoy spending time with my family :)

This is just how I feel, and I know this can be a really touchy subject for some people, but I am not here to judge!

What do you think about technology?  Are we too tech savvy for our own good?

Valentine's Day Recap

I must say this Valentine's Day was one to remember!  I had so much fun at my brunch with Emmy and I got a pleasant surprise when Jason's basketball game was cancelled; however, due to the weather, we still weren't able to hang out.  No worries though, I have three more days of weekend left before I go back to school, which gives us plenty of time to celebrate :)  Here are some photos I took to give you a little taste of my Valentine's Day!

And here is a closer look at what I wore!

 shirt (old)/cardigan/jeans/flats (old)

I decided to wear yet another piece from Pockets and Lace Boutique for my Valentine's Day outfit:  The striped cardigan with elbow patches, which I love!  It was the perfect addition to my outfit!

Make sure you use the code PREP2014 to get 25% off your next purchase at Pockets and Lace Boutique :)

Five on Friday

First of all, Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  As I said before I won't be doing much today since I won't see Jason until tomorrow, but I will be going to brunch with one of my friends and I am so excited.  We are going to a little tea house and I will make sure I fill you in on all the little details tomorrow; in the meantime, here are some of the things I am loving this week!
1. My necklace from Pockets and Lace (C/O, but available in fuchsia): Use code PREP2014 for 25% off your purchase!

2.  I might be getting glasses, but at least there are some cute frames.

3. My Lilly Pulitzer coffee mug, however still missing my Alice and Olivia one :(

4. A little touch of NYC in my room!

5. Pattern Play!

What are you loving this week?
