Dress Obsessed

Recently I have been obsessed with dresses.  I have quite a few in my collection, including this great number from L.Mae Boutique (today is the last day to shop the sale!), and quite a few others.  What I like most about dresses is how easy they are and they still look great.  I can come home after work, throw on a dress, and be ready to run out the door looking pretty good for just getting home.  I would love to expand my collection a little more, so I have been shopping for a few online.  Here are a couple of my favorites!

I especially love the last three!  They are so cute and can be dressed up or dressed down.  It is so tempting to go and buy one haha

If you haven't checked out the L.Mae Boutique sale yet, you have to.  There is only one day left and it is totally worth your time to take a look around their website because everything (excluding New Arrivals and Game Day Apparel) is 50% off!  Such a great deal right?  I personally bought a fun, flirty piece to add to my wardrobe, and I cannot wait to get it in the mail this week!  I can just tell it is going to be a new favorite!

What's In My Bag

As I mentioned yesterday, I got a new Michael Kors handbag during the Nordstrom sale and I thought I would share a little bit about what I keep in my bag.  Let me start off by saying, I love this tote.  It has so much space and is so, so organized.  Like, seriously, there are compartments for everything!  It is also such great quality leather.  The leather used is saffiano, so it is made to stand a lot of wear and tear, but still will look great!  My last highlight about this bag is it's professional look.  You can use it for work, going out, or just as an everyday tote and you will always look professional!

Okay, so maybe there is one more thing to highlight-- this bag has key hook inside.  Did I mention it was organized?  Anyway, I generally keep tote bags pretty stuffed, as I use them for everyday and work.  My main items are my hair brush, wallet, lipstick, and journal.  All of these are super essential to my day and I couldn't live without them!

Pattern Play Linkup

A few weeks ago Scarlett from The Trendy Chick asked me to participate in her linkup.  Since I love mixing patterns, I thought this would be a lot of fun!  I also was really interested to see how some other bloggers out there mix their patterns.  I personally like the combination of leopard with, well, just about anything.  For this look I used my old J.Crew polka dot shirt and my chunky leopard heels I got from Target last fall-- such a great buy!  Check it out!

I also want to highlight the Michael Kors bag I have featured in these photos.  I got it from Nordstorm during the anniversary sale and I love it!  It is the perfect professional looking bag that carries a lot; plus, everything is really organized!

Thankful

You all have probably been wondering where I have been over the past four days haha.  Let's just say I had a really stressful start to the weekend.  I hardly got any sleep and it seemed liked nothing was working out; however, out of all of this, I realized something: how thankful I am for the people in my life.  No matter how stressed out I am, I always have people to turn to.

This week it was Seth and his family.  I had to bake a cake for my parent's office and everything was going wrong, and it was a box mix.  Not even from scratch.  Seth's mom and I were up till 12 in the morning trying to fix the cake (it got slanted in the oven due to a rack that was off) and it just wasn't working.  It finally got to the point where we almost threw the cake at the wall and we just decided to try again in the morning.  So, I spent the night and when I got up, Seth's mom had already baked the cakes.  All I had to do was frost them and I was so thankful.

People like Seth and his family, honestly, make my day and I am so thankful to have them in my life.
