L.Mae Boutique's End of Summer Sale

I am so excited to be teaming up with L.Mae Boutique once again to bring you some of my picks from their End of Summer Sale.  The sale will start tomorrow and goes through the 8th, so you will have plenty of time to stock up.  The best thing, everything (excluding game day apparel and new arrivals) will be 50% off!  This is such a great deal because L.Mae Boutique already has really affordable pieces.  Here are a few things from the sale that I love!

I think I will most definitely be investing in this LBD.  It would be a perfect classic to add to my closet!

Anything you can't wait to get your hands on?  Let me know what you find at the sale!

Summer Stripes

When Courtney and I were looking around Curate to find some cute pieces to style, we came across this great striped dress!  It is so comfy, casual (or dressy, just depends on the styling), and is on sale, so obviously it was a great fit for Prep on a Budget.  Check it out!

This was such a fun styling with Curate!  I definitely recommend checking out their sale.  They have such great items at great prices!

What do you think?  How are you rocking your stripes this summer?

Try Onli

While at the Smart Girls Conference I got to meet the wonderful ladies from Onli Beverages.  It was so great to hear the story of the company and taste some wonderful, natural drinks!  After talking for a while, we thought it would be so much fun to do a little collaboration over here on the blog!

So, here is a little background on Onli: Onli is based, and originated in, Palm Beach, Florida.  They make all natural, chef inspired sparkling drinks, which I must say are fantastic.  Each flavor is work of art and so tasty.  After their start in 2011, they quickly grew and now sell in several stores including, Atlanta Kroger stores (hoping they will come to Cincinnati soon!), certain Whole Foods locations, and now even have distribution in certain NYC independent markets!

Pretty cool, right?  Here are some pictures-- let me just say they don't do the taste justice, you definitely need to try them for yourself!

To find out if you have a location nearby that sells Onli, you can check out this map, and for information click here!

Have you tried Onli before?  What is your favorite flavor?  Mine is Hibiscus Pomegranate!

Candy Apple

Once I got back from NYC, I went straight into more work for the blog!  I am so lucky to say I got work with Curate Boutique again to style some great looks.  This first outfit was taken at a local candy and popcorn shop.  I think the color red was a perfect choice for this shoot and the pictures turned out great!

Besides the great color of this dress, the back is also amazing!  I love the design and the fit.  The strings make it adjustable to anyone really, which I think is great!  Oh, and on another note, Curate Boutique is having a great sale online right now-- 30-50% off all their summer clothes!  You should definitely check it out, and if you live here in Cincinnati read this.  There is a "Garage Sale" going on between Curate and couple other boutiques that you don't want to miss out on!

What do you love from the Epic Sale?

Pretty Sleep Things

I feel like I post about sleep related things a lot, but I am always drawn to cute, feminine sleepwear.  I mean, what is wrong with looking great when you go to bed?  Anyway, while looking around Anthropologie I found some great sleepwear pieces!  Everything they have there is so cute and so comfy, but definitely a splurge; however,  I can't help but lust over some of these cute sleepwear pieces!

You can shop more of Anthropologie's great pieces here!  I just love the navy chemise featured above.  It would be perfect for summer nights!

What is your favorite piece of sleepwear?  Do you like looking good while you sleep?

Sneakers Please

I never hardly work out, but, for some reason, I love sneakers.  I have one pair that I have had for a while from Reebok and I love the grey color; however, they are getting really worn from my use of them.  That said, I think I would like to look into getting a new pair of sneakers.  Here are a few options that I love!
I personally like the New Balance sneakers.  They have such great pops of color and neutral options!
What are your favorite sneakers?

My Favorite, French Bulldogs

Recently, I have had such an obsession with French Bulldogs.  I saw so many of them in NYC and I just can't get over how cute they are!  I already have a dog and cat, so I would probably get a French Bulldog as my first pet when I'm out of college.  I think they are the perfect dog for first time owners, simply based off of the fact that they are small, loyal, and manageable.  The one thing that can be difficult about French Bulldogs is their breathing issues and they can be stubborn; however, with the right person and training, they are great dogs!  Here are a few pictures and videos of my favorite, the French Bulldog!

And, of course, I had to share this cute video!  Hopefully I will have a man that does this for me one day haha!

What is your favorite breed of dog?

Planner Perfect

Um, is it really already that time again?!  I can't believe that I am getting ready to go back to school again; however, that does mean I get to get some shiny, new school supplies to start the year off right.  One of my essentials for school is a great planner, and there are so many options!  Here are a few of my favorites!

  Day Designer (Currently Re-Stocking)

At the conference we were lucky enough to score one of the Whitney English Day Designers, which I personally will be using as my planner this year.  I really love the Kate Spade and Lilly options too though!  They are such fun prints and perfect for keeping everything organized throughout the year!

What planner are you using this year?

My Mornings

Last Saturday, Caroline from Citrus and Style shared her summer morning routine.  I always have issues setting a routine haha, but I thought it was a fun post idea to try out and help me reflect on what I really do in the mornings!  So, here it goes!
My Mornings
In the summer I have pretty easy mornings.  I try to get up around 9:00 or 10:00 depending on the time I get to bed (usually around 12:30).  I find that using KLG and Hoda as motivation to get up really helps because it is my favorite thing to watch in the morning.  After that is over, I start getting ready for the day, which consists of showering, brushing my teeth, and getting dressed.  After those three morning events I am ready to go for the day!

What is your morning routine?

Nordstrom Rack Does It Again

Although I haven't made it to the anniversary sale yet, I did make a stop by Nordstrom Rack and I must say, they have done it again.  I feel like every time I go there I end up coming home with something I love for a great price!  I got my handbag there, my raincoat, my favorite wedges, and now, my first pair of designer pumps-- yes that's right, designer!  Nordstrom Rack, along with regular merchandise, resales their "worn and refinished shoes".  I know "worn" shoes doesn't sound good, but honestly they are shoes that people have hardly ever worn and then returned to the store.  I have found so many great designers, but I fell in love with a pair of Badgley Mischka pumps yesterday and the best part was I didn't even have to feel guilty about it!  They were originally $235, but I got them for $90 with tax.  That is still expensive, but a great deal for shoes that will last me for such a long time!  Here's to Nordstrom Rack!

Have you found any great deals at Nordstrom Rack?  Do Share!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Happy Friday and happy Anniversary Sale!  Nordstrom's Anniversary sale is one my favorite sales of the year.  They always have such great pieces and they are marked down a whole bunch!  This year, I am really liking their shoes, handbags, and accessories.  There are some great, iconic picks that you will use time to time!  Here are a few of my favorites!

If you couldn't tell, I may or may not be a little shoe obsessed haha!  I really want to get those fun Steve Madden pumps.  The pop of color is great!

Toting Around NYC

Even though it has almost been a week since I was in NYC, I can't seem to get my mind off of the city!  It is one place where I feel like instantly belong and I can't wait to venture back again.  That said, I think it is always important to be prepared, especially when going to city like New York.  I personally didn't carry a tote bag with me while I was in the city, but I think it would be a good idea for the next time I visit.  Here is what I would need for toting around NYC!
Isn't this C.Wonder tote adorable?!  I absolutely love their new jungle themed totes and I think they are perfect for carrying everything you need for a busy day in the city.  Some things I find essential to carry with me are a hair brush, portable phone charger, water bottle, planner, wallet, and business card holder.  Whenever I go out I always make sure I have all or most of these, because I usually end up needing them throughout the day.  I also like to carry a magazine, possible a pair of shoes to change into, some gum, and my favorite lipstick.  Although these aren't essential, they definitely help make the day easier!
What do you need for toting around NYC?

Wedding Season with Paul Fredrick

A little bit ago I was contacted by Valerie at Paul Fredrick to do a fun blogger collaboration for wedding attire.  Although I didn't have the time to write a full article for their site, I thought I should share their great wedding season article with all of you!  For those of you who don't know, Paul Fredrick is a men's wear company that was founded around 25 years ago.  They operate on the ideas that men's dress wear should be great quality at an affordable price, and they do just that!

Since it is wedding season, Paul Fredrick is a great place to get some dress shirts for your man.  I know that I am thinking of getting Seth something-- hopefully he doesn't read this haha.  Here is one of my favorite dress shirts from their site!

Isn't this the perfect look for a preppy wedding?  I think Seth would love it!

For some more options, you can check out their dress shirt page here, and for some wedding season do's and don'ts, be sure to check out their article here!

What do you think about Paul Fredrick?

L.Mae Boutique in NYC

Since I didn't get to upload any pictures from my camera while I was in New York, I thought I would put some up now that I'm back home!  I was so happy to bring this L.Mae Boutique number with me to the city.  It was perfect for a day on the town and I got so many compliments!

Sorry these aren't the best photos, but I was only able to take a few before people got annoyed with me standing in the middle of the sidewalk haha;  however, I couldn't not take pictures in front of such a gorgeous display, compliments of Louis Vuitton!  I also took a random picture of this great fountain on the way to Madison Ave.  It was such cool architecture!
