Staying Warm with Kushyfoot

Before I went on break, Lipton Publicity contacted me regarding Kushyfoot, a women's and men's sock company.  I don't wear tights/knee highs a whole lot, but I must say I love the knee highs I received.  Personally, my favorite pair is the fleece-lined, black knee highs.  We arrived in Minneapolis yesterday and now it is 25 below, so they are perfect for venturing out into the cold without freezing my toes off!

These really are the most comfy socks and they are a great length too, especially if you live somewhere where it gets really cold!  Currently, Kushyfoot doesn't have the knee highs online, but they have a tight version that would be great for your New Year's Eve dress!

Is it cold where you are?  How are you keeping warm?

Guess Where I Am!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas!  Mine was fantastic-- I got everything I wanted and more, which was so nice of my parents and Santa of course.  I think my favorite gifts this year were my camera (yes my parents gave me our nice camera, so I could blog and I literally cried when I pulled it out of the bag), my new jacket from Anthro, a necklace from Seth's parents, and a watch from Seth, so I can tell the time at work.  These were all such amazing gifts, but I think the best thing was just spending the time with my family because it is my last Christmas before college!  Overall, it was a great holiday!

On the night of Christmas, however, I left town on a surprise vacation with Seth's family!  The car ride was long and consisted of sleeping kids and a grumpy Seth, but we made it and guess where we are...

If you guessed Chicago, then you are correct!  Today Seth, his mom, and I are shopping all the after Christmas sales on the Magnificent Mile, and I am super excited :)

What are you doing today?  Did any of you go somewhere for Christmas?

Signing Off for Break

As I mentioned on Monday, I will not be blogging over the holidays (except for maybe a few stop ins haha!), so I am signing off today to go on Christmas break.  I am so excited for break this year for many reasons.  First of all, this is my last Christmas before I go to college-- really weird right?-- so I can't wait to enjoy spending the day with my family.

Secondly, I am actually going somewhere over break!  I feel like I hardly ever leave town, so I am super excited.  The vacation is a surprise, but I am so happy because I am going with Seth and his family, and we will be spending New Years together.  It is so great to be so close with my boyfriend and his family-- I cannot wait to spend the holidays with them!

As for all of you, I wish you a happy holidays and a wonderful, well-deserved break!

A Few Things You Need for Winter

It's going to snow this Saturday and I couldn't be more excited, but with the snow comes winter.  I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to winter.  I love all of the snow and getting some days off, but I hate the slush, terrible driving conditions, and only being able to wear one pair of shoes for weeks on end; however, I do really enjoy winter fashion because it is so warm, cozy, and comfortable!  Here are a few pieces I always invest in for winter!

puffer jacket/wrap coat/cozy sweater poncho/Cuyana leather tote/Cuyana infinity scarf/pom pom hat/leather gloves/Hunter boots/leather boots/wool socks/casual sweater dress/tried and true party dress/

After reading Carly's post on having a tried and true party dress, I couldn't agree with the idea more, so I included a great dress that will last you for years to come.

I also included two staple shoes for me: Hunter boots and leather riding boots.  I have a pair of Enzo Angiolini riding boots and they are really great quality boots for a pretty inexpensive price-- they will also be a staple for years to come!

Lastly, I couldn't help including a leather tote.  They are great year round and make wonderful Christmas gifts for your friends, family, or for you!

What are your winter essentials?

Another Work Update

I know you are probably sick of hearing me talk about work, but I can't help it!  I just love my job that much-- it really is the best.

Anyways, I have been working about a month and I thought it was the perfect time to give you an update of how everything is going.  So far, I have found that retail is the perfect fit for me.  I really like getting to see all of the clothes (and I can actually afford them now haha) and helping customers style outfits-- it is so much fun and fits right in with me being a blogger and all ;)

Not only are the items and the store great, but I love my Anthro family.  Although I am the youngest employee at my store, I am able to get along with everyone so easily, and they are all so nice and accepting.  My managers even wrote me a letter that they put in my locker saying how happy they are I joined the team.  It is always nice to get little personal note and some reassurance that I am actually doing good in my job.

Here's to good luck in the future!

Do any of you work retail?  What has your experience been like?  I would love to hear!

Last Minute Gift Guide

Luckily, I have been really on top of getting Christmas gifts this year; however, there are many people, including my parents, who still have to shop.  At this point, online shipping cutoffs are coming up soon and custom monograms are almost definitely out of the question.

The mall, on the other hand, is still open and ready for business and is a great place to stop in and get some last minute shopping done.  My local mall, including where I work, is open later for the holidays so everyone can get there Christmas shopping done.  Here are a few last minute goodies I have spotted while at work!

The Tracy Reese perfume in the green box is amazing!  It can be found in most Anthro stores and would make a great gift for any girl!  I also love the idea of getting nail polish for all of your friends-- it makes the perfect present :)

Are any of you last minute gift shopping?  What are you getting for all of your friends?

Hunter, Where Are You?

It was so weird not getting on my blog this week, but there was just no time.  I worked every night this week and was thoroughly exhausted, and that on top of school was just too much.  Hopefully this week will be a little more peaceful and I will get back to my regular posting schedule.

I feel so bad because I just haven't been able to keep up with blogging this school year.  Right when I think I am back on track, something gets me off and it takes me a few days to get back on again.  Hopefully Christmas break will give me a little time to get organized.  I am, however, going to take a break from blogging over break as well-- I think that will give me some time to get myself organized and get some great posts scheduled!

But, in the meantime, I hope you all have a great week and I want to thank you for all of your support.  I don't know what I do without all of my blogging buddies and my followers because each of your brighten my day so much :)

Happy Monday!

What I Wear to Work

Another thing I love about my new job... I can wear pretty much anything I want as long as it represents the company and I'm not showing too much skin-- basically just no crop tops and no short shorts haha.  Being able to express my personality through my style is great and gets me excited to go to work every day!  I also love it when people ask me where I got something and I can direct them to where it is exactly in the store.

With that said, here are a few work essentials that you can't go wrong with!

heels/foldable flats/red dress/tulip dress/t-shirt/skirt/cardigan/perfume/lipstick/earrings

I just got a new pair of booties (my first pair ever!) in the mail that are perfect for work!  Everyone at Anthro wears them, so I am proud to have a pair of my own-- I will definitely have to feature them in an outfit post sometime soon!

What do you wear to work?

Gift Shopping with Anthropologie

Undoubtedly, working for Anthropologie has fed my obsession with the store.  Every time I work I always find some great thing hidden away in the store, which I usually end up buying later on; however, I have also found some really great gift items that would be great for anyone!  Here are a few of my Anthro Gift Favorites!

lipstick/earrings/jewelry roll/bubble bath/coat/perfume/wristlet/candle/holiday plate/to-do list/gloves/pom pom ear warmer

Those mini perfumes and the bubble bath smell absolutely wonderful, and so does the Capri Blue Volcano candle (and Anthro specialty)!  I got almost all of my Christmas gifts at Anthropologie and I think everyone is going to love them, even the kids-- if you didn't know, they have a great kids section as well!

What are your favorite gifts from Anthro?  Is anyone as obsessed as I am?

P.S. I didn't include it above, but you can't go wrong with the monogram mug, which we are carrying in gold again!

The Guy's Gift Guide

Buying for your man, your dad, or your brother is always difficult.  Some men, including Seth (thank God!), are into fashion, which is definitely a plus, but others, well it just isn't their thing.  I also feel like there isn't a wide selection for guys out there, so I can never find something super special and tend to have a go-to every year, but that doesn't make it very much fun for you or the guy you are buying for; however, after searching around, I have come up with some of my favorite buys for your guy!

tie/tie clips/watch/gloves/Barbour jacket/socks/belt/wallet/travel bag/card 1/card 2

These gifts cover a wide price range, so there is something for everyone out there.  I personally love the Barbour jacket, even though it is more expensive-- it is such a great gift for a dad, brother, or boyfriend!

I also like the socks.  You would be surprised how much guys love them.  I bought Seth a pair of socks while on summer vacation and he wears them all the time!

Oh, and you can't forget to top your gift off with the perfect card.  I included two cards from Treat that I am particularly fond of-- I know Seth would love either of them.  The best part is that these cards can be personalized to say whatever you want and you can even include a picture!

What are you giving your guy?  Anything you would add?

Work So Far

Last Friday was my first day at my new job, and although it was hectic,  I have to say I love my new job.  I have heard many different opinions about working in retail, but I think it is a perfect fit for me, plus I have THE BEST co-workers.  Everyone is so nice and welcoming, even though I am younger than everyone who works there haha.  We just all get along so well and I have found a lot of commonalities with my co-workers, which has really helped me become part of the Anthropologie family!

Oh, and our managers are the best!  I love them so much and they are great to work with.  Honestly, I have no qualms about this job whatsoever-- it is a perfect fit :)

Do you love your job?

Cyber Monday on Kate Spade

It feels like Thanksgiving Break just flew by!  I had so much going on and now I'm back in school again, which is bittersweet, but I'll be off in three weeks time so I'm not complaining ;)

Anyways, I had a wonderful break filled with lots of fun, new and exciting experiences and, of course, tons of shopping.  The sales after Thanksgiving are really the best and I got some great things (all of which I will share sometime this week!); however, Cyber Monday is one of my favorite sale days for two reasons: One, it's online so I can shop from anywhere, and two, the deals are sometimes even better than Black Friday!  This year, I am personally a fan of Kate Spade's sale and I collected a few of my favorite items-- they would be great gifts for you or your friends!

All of these items are currently 30% off with the code CYBER30, including sale items!

What is your favorite Cyber Monday sale?  Any Black Friday splurges you want to share?
