A Thing Created

I love collecting prints for my gallery wall, and I couldn't have been more happy when a new print arrived on my doorstep this Monday!  I recently purchased a print from Erisha's spring collection and her work is fabulous.  Her drawings are really accurate and I love the variety of options she has in her store!  Besides my new favorite, Audrey Hepburn, print, here are a few of my favorites from Erisha's shop-- A Thing Created!

I know I will definitely be getting the shoe cards for my graduation thank you notes-- they are just too cute and perfect for the spring!

All of these prints and more are available in Erisha's Esty shop-- A Thing Created-- I highly recommend you check her store out!

Are you a fan of A Thing Created?  What is your favorite print?

My Oscar Favorites

This year's Oscars were amazing once again!  I think this year was so exceptional because of the power house movies that were up for best picture.  I haven't seen a list like this in a long time and it made the award show all the more exciting!  Here are a few of my favorite moments from the 2015 Oscars-- Pictures via Buzzfeed.

1. Jamie Chung's firework dress

2. Rosamund Pike's rosy number

3. Zoe Saldana's simple, yet elegant look

4. Sienna Miller's sophisticated bows

5. Lupita Nyong'o-- need I say more?

6. Meryl Streep-- she is my idol

7. Last, but not least, this beautiful performance from John Legend and Common

What were your favorite Oscar moments?

The Perfect Crossbodys for Travel

On Friday, I got a question from Jordyn asking if I could possibly share some more crossbody options for her honeymoon, and it was the perfect post inspiration; so, here are a few crossbody bags that would be great for traveling!

Mini Mab/Michael Kors Jet Set/Furla Mini Bon Bon/Fossil Bucket Bag/Michael Kors Bedford/Cedar Street Magnolia/Charm City Ostrich Provence

Whenever I am looking to buy a bag, I usually opt for leather since it last so long!  Michael Kors, Fossil, Kate Spade, and Rebecca Minkoff all have great leather, so I chose a few options from them (my personal favorite is the Mini MAB).  I also threw in a cute crossbody from Furla because it is such a fun choice!

Do you have any crossbody bags that you love?

The Mini MAB

I never thought I would be a handbag girl, as I just don't see the point in having multiple handbags, but I can tell you, I might just be turning into one.  Lately, I have had such a huge obsession with handbags-- usually it's shoes haha-- but I really don't need a new handbag by any means; however, I have definitely tried to justify that I do need a new bag several times when I saw the Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB.  I just think it is the cutest thing ever, but for now I will wait.  Maybe until my next Nordstrom note...

Are there any handbags you are obsessing over?  Anyone else a fan of the Mini MAB?

Graduation

The other day I received drinks for my graduation party and I got super excited, but also super anxious.  It is amazing how four years can fly by just like that and I honestly can't believe I will be in college at the end of this year.  I know, crazy right?

However, even though time flies by, there are always those little moments of joy that stay with you forever and I know graduation will be one of them.  I can't wait to walk down the aisle and get my diploma-- something that seemed like the end of a high school movie when I was a freshman-- and I also can't wait for baccalaureate. Oh and I can't forget my grad party haha!

Of course for these two events I need something to wear and for years it has been custom to wear all white, so I went on the search for the perfect dress, and I think I found it!

I found this little number over at BHLDN (Beholden), an affiliate of Anthropologie, and I couldn't be happier!  I just ordered it, so fingers crossed it fits!

What are you wearing/did you wear for graduation?

Elegantees: A Dress That Gives Back

Sex trafficking is a very personal issue for me.  Ever since I watched the Whistle Blower with my parents, rape and sex trafficking have horrified me even more than they did before.  I guess I never quite understood (granted I was 13 at the time) just how bad it really was and that movie was an eye opener.  From that point forward I have made it a mission to seek out companies and agencies that work to help free innocent people from one of the most gruesome forms of human trafficking.

This is where Elegantees comes along.  I have been a huge fan of Punjammies since their start and I wanted to know if there were other companies out there like them.  Shortly after I instagrammed a picture of some of my favorite Punjammie's for Valentine's Day, I got a comment from Elegantees Instagram account and I immediately got on to check out their company.  I was so excited to find out that they too were dedicated to freeing people from the sex trade and I knew I had to feature one of their great pieces of clothing.

The dress I chose to model is the Roshani dress in royal purple.  The color, coincidentally, perfectly matches my Hunter Boots, so it was just meant to be haha!

What I really love about this dress, though, is a) it has pockets b) it is incredibly comfortable and c) it looks adorable on!  I definitely recommend it if you are looking into purchasing from Elegantees.  Plus they have two other colors, as well, that are just as gorgeous!

Have you heard of Elegantees before?  What are some of your favorite companies that give back?

New Phone Case

A new phone case is well overdue for me.  I have had my phone case for quite a while and it is, sadly, starting to crack.  Unfortunately, it is really hard to find iPhone 5c cases, as they have never been very popular; however, Casetify is truly a lifesaver!  They sell a TON of iPhone 5c cases and I am thinking I may need to scoop one up!  Here are a few of my favorites!

I am a huge fan of Wonder Forest, one of the designers on Casetify.  She makes the cutest designs, including the little foxes, that I would be so happy to have on my phone!

Which one is your favorite?  Are any of you fans of Casetify?

Computer Probs

Technology sucks.  I love having it, but, when things go wrong, the world ends.  This is basically a recap of what happened to me last Friday.  I was casually using my computer when all the sudden it just froze.  I couldn't get it to load, so I shut it down and it didn't turn back on. At all.  I was horrified, as I had a project due Monday, a research paper I was in the midst of writing, and a bunch of personal information I couldn't imagine loosing.

Luckily, my computer was fixable, but I was so worried that everything would be lost.  Apparently it had something to do with a chord connected to the hard drive.  It was corrupted, so they had to download everything on a ghost drive, do some repairs, and upload it all back.

It all worked out, but the fear of having a sad mac like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City was horrifying.  From now on I will be backing up my computer every month and ensuring nothing happens again, at least nothing super serious!

Have you had computer probs before?  What do you do to keep your computer safe?

The Floral Pump

I have been seeing tons of florals arriving just in time for spring, and in my favorite form, shoes!  While I was at the mall the other day, I saw the perfect pair of floral pumps and I immediately went online when I got home to admire them some more.  Little did I know, there were several other options to choose from as well!  Here some great floral pumps that will get you ready for the spring weather!

Steve Madden/Halogen/Ivanka Trump/SJP/Charlotte Olympia

I wish I had the money to afford the SJP pumps, but I think the Ivanka Trump pumps are just as cute and perfectly bright for spring!  I like the two darker options from Steve Madden and Halogen, as well, because they are perfect if you don't want a really bright floral!

Are you loving the floral pump trend?  Which shoe is your favorite?

Tulle Skirts

via

I have wanted a tulle skirt for such a long time, but I have no idea where I want to purchase one!  There are so many tulle skirt companies now with a huge range of prices, but I have no clue what is best.  One company I am particularly fond of, however, is Space 46 Boutique, simply because I have heard so much about them and I have found their prices to be the most reasonable!

That said, I want to hear what you have to say!

Do you know of any great tulle skirt companies?  Any color or sizing recommendations?

Inspired by Stylekick

Stylekick is one of the coolest apps I have on my phone and it is perfect for finding outfit inspiration!  I love getting to see what everyone is wearing and finding some new pieces or ways to reinvent old pieces in my wardrobe.  Recently I was inspired by Sandra Hagelstam (@5inchandup) to create this look for the blog-- talk about a great way to style my puffer jacket and stay warm at the same time!

The white shirt and jeans make for a great classic look, and the nude heels add the perfect special touch.  I must say, I will probably be repeating this outfit for date night sometime soon!

Have you downloaded Stylekick?  What do you think about the app?

P.S. You can follow me on Stylekick too!  My account name is @preponabudge :)

Valentine's Gifts for Her

Valentine's Day has to be one of my favorite holidays, other than Christmas and Thanksgiving of course.  I just think it is such a fun, carefree holiday and it is the perfect excuse to get out and spend some time with someone special or your best friends!

Valentine's Day is also my favorite holiday for giving gifts.  I love all of the pink and red and heart themed items!  If you have been searching around for the perfect gift-- boys I'm looking at you-- here is a little gift guide for the girls!
heart bag/earrings/Jo Malone perfume/initial clutch/packable trench coat/eye mask/Chanel lipstick in Etonnante/lipstick key FOB/pink satin bow heels

I must say, I would be happy with any of these gifts, especially the perfume.  Jo Malone can be expensive, but it is such a great perfume and lasts all day-- my particular favorite scent is Peony and Blush Suede.

The pink heels are also a great choice, especially if you are buying for a girl who loves her shoes (aka me).  I think the pink satin and the bow on this pair are just too cute and remind me of Kate Spade, but for less than half the price!

What are you gifting this year?  Does anyone else love Valentine's Day?

Date Night at the Movies

This year, Seth and I have resolved to get out more and so far we have been doing great!  This past week we went to two movies, one on Friday and one on Saturday, and then went to Super Bowl party on Sunday.  It was a busy weekend, but so much fun and I loved getting out of the house and spending time with Seth.

That said, the two movies we saw were superb, and I'm pretty picky about what I like to see.  So, here is a list of movie recommendations if you are looking for something to do this weekend!

1. The Theory of Everything: Seth and I went to see this on a double date with our two good friends, and it is a must see.  The movie was sad at some points-- I mean how could it not be?!-- but totally inspiring and I really want to watch it again when it comes out to rent!

2. Paddington: One thing I am a junkie for, kid's movies.  I still love them and they are perfect for a fun, carefree night out.  Seth and I saw this on Friday and it was a good movie for both kids and adults.  The animated bear was too cute and just made my heart melt-- and Seth's too haha!

3. The Interview: The Interview is now on Netflix, and if you like comedy, then you have to watch this!  Seth and I stayed in a few months ago to rent The Interview on iTunes and it was well worth it.  Sometimes they went a little far, but most of the humor was on point and so hilarious!

What movies have you seen lately?  Any recommendations?

February Anthro Favorites

Okay, I am officially an Anthro addict.  I always liked Anthropologie before I started working there, but having the job has made me like it even more; probably because I know more about the clothing and I get to see all the new stuff before everyone else... plus I get a pretty good discount, which makes owning the clothes that much easier haha.  Anyway, here are a few pieces I picked for February that I absolutely adore!

sneakers/work out tank/swing dress/shirt dress/pants/stripe shirt

I tell you, Anthro's work out line has inspired me to become more active, simply because I love the way they look!  Also, I can never complain about our selection of dresses.  We always have so many great choices!

What are your favorites for February?  Are any of you loving Anthro's new arrivals?
