Kate Spade Surprise Sale

I am always so happy when I get that email in my mail box for Kate Spade's surprise sale!  They always have such great items on sale and at great prices.  For this sale there is one item I am falling in love with; the Gia.  I really wanted to get the "eat cake for breakfast" gia, but it sold out really fast :(  However, I think I may have found another great clutch!

White Cable Knits

After seeing this trend float around on other blogs, I thought I would share one of my new favorites with you; the cable knit trend.  I guess it really isn't a trend since cable knit sweaters have been around forever, but I am loving all of the looks people are creating with the white cable knit.  Here are a few of my favorite pieces of inspiration!

Weekend Update

This weekend I didn't do too much, but the couple of things I did do this weekend were great.  On Saturday I went on a shopping spree at Target!  I got some great things, including Jason's anniversary gift (I can't reveal it yet, but I will soon!).  I also bought a couple goodies for myself as well #guiltynotguilty.

 The first item I bought was this pair of tortoiseshell sunnies!  I have been looking for a pair for weeks, but none of the pairs I tried on looked great until I found these.  The best part is that they were only $8.00!  I can't wait to take some more pictures! 

 

 I also took the chance to pick up these chunky leopard heels.  They were on sale for $15.00 and I was just so happy to take these home with me.  I am so excited to style an outfit with these soon :)

The other thing I did this weekend was read.  I have found that I have much more time for fun reads this year then I normally do, so I am working on reading some books I have on my list.  The book I am starting out with is The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger.  It is really good so far and I would recommend it to any of you!

My Monogrammed Pumpkin

Halloween is this Thursday, so I finally got around to creating my pumpkin!  I have seen so many cute decoration ideas this year, including the monogram design I chose to make.  I was originally going to make a glitter polka dot pumpkin (inspiration from my blog buddy Caroline B!), but I didn't have any glitter and I was just too lazy to drive to the store and get some haha!  So, anyway, I went with a cute little monogram design.  Here is my tutorial :)

 1. First I stenciled the outline for my monogram and the circle! 

 

 2. Next I picked out my color palette (pink, green, and black for outlining)

 

 3. Paint! For the polka dots I just hand painted, but you can stencil them also :)

 

 4. Finished product!

This was the first year I painted my pumpkin and I loved it!  It will definitely be a new tradition :)

Cold Weather Means Warm PJs

Since the weather is getting colder, I can finally pull out my favorite warm PJs.  Wearing warm PJs is one of my absolute favorite things about colder weather, even if I don't want to get out of bed in the morning!  The pair I have right now is just a regular pair from the department store, but I really want to look into getting nicer pair this fall/winter. I Want These Shoes

I feel that I always obsess over shoes.  Lately, I have been in love with the Etta Pump collection from J.Crew!  They have such a classic silhouette and come in so many different styles.  Here is one pair that I love!

Bean Boots

One item I have been on the fence on about getting is a pair of bean boots.  I think they are so cute, but I don't know if they are necessarily something I would wear; however, I have seen a lot of great inspiration with bean boots lately!

My Dream Place

Since I have never shared this with you all before, I thought it would be good to tell you all my dream place.  Ever since I was kid I have dreamed of living in... New York City!  I absolutely love everything about NYC.  I hadn't been to the city in such a long time, but my visit this summer was just enough to leave me lusting for more!  Here are a couple memories from NYC :)

 

 I know these aren't the most artistic pictures ever, but I just love looking back on those memories.  I will definitely be living in NYC when I am older :)

Monogrammed Pocket Tee

I was so excited a couple of weeks ago when I found out that I won a $25 gift card to BCS Designs from Caitlin's giveaway at Southern Curls and Pearls!  This monogram shop is so adorable; it took me forever to choose what I wanted to get, but finally I was able to make a decision.  I decided to go with the basic pocket tee!  I got my tee in the blue jean color with light pink monogramming and I could not be more pleased with the result.  Not only did the tee turn out great, but it came within two days of being shipped!  It was such a great Saturday surprise when I checked the mail and found out I got my shirt earlier than expected!  Here is how I styled my basic pocket tee :)

Sushi Please

One thing you probably don't know about me is that I love sushi.  Last night I got to go to one of my favorite sushi places in town with my parents, and it was so much fun!  The food was great and we had such a great time being together.  I think it is so amazing how food is able to bring people together; anytime I go out with Jason, my friends, or my family we always have such a good time just talking and eating.  Here are a few pictures I snapped for you all last night :)

I absolutely love these shoes!  I got them as a gift from a friend a couple years back and they are some of the best shoes I have owned.  They are from White House Black Market, so they are more on the pricey side, but definitely worth it!  The soles will last you forever!

Friday Favorites

Since I haven't shared any Friday Favorites in a while, I thought I would share some with you all today!  If you can't tell, I am really into darker colors this fall.  I am especially in love with the Essie color called "carry on"; it is the perfect nail polish for my fall wardrobe.  Another thing I have been into lately is the pointed toe heel.  I really wish I could wear heels more often because they are just so classic.  I really like these red heels I have pictured above... another great deal from Target!  The last things I am loving this week are pea coats (#slightlyobsessed), chai tea lattes, and the wonderful prints from Amanda Catherine Designs!  I entered her contest on Instagram, and I am praying that I win!
