Technology sucks. I love having it, but, when things go wrong, the world ends. This is basically a recap of what happened to me last Friday. I was casually using my computer when all the sudden it just froze. I couldn't get it to load, so I shut it down and it didn't turn back on. At all. I was horrified, as I had a project due Monday, a research paper I was in the midst of writing, and a bunch of personal information I couldn't imagine loosing.
Luckily, my computer was fixable, but I was so worried that everything would be lost. Apparently it had something to do with a chord connected to the hard drive. It was corrupted, so they had to download everything on a ghost drive, do some repairs, and upload it all back.
It all worked out, but the fear of having a sad mac like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City was horrifying. From now on I will be backing up my computer every month and ensuring nothing happens again, at least nothing super serious!
Have you had computer probs before? What do you do to keep your computer safe?

I'm currently having computer issues...it will turn on (obviously, I'm on your blog lol) but it's SO slow. I need to get a new one & a new hard drive to back things up onto, but I just haven't went and done it. If you have any tips for a computer perfect for school (papers, etc) and pictures/blogging stuff I would love to know :)

I love the episode with Carrie's sad mac. I do not love that your computer is sad. I'm sorry you had a bad technology day.
